Enfabrica Raises $115M in Funding, Announces New ACF-S to Advance Networking for the Age of GenAI

By Alex Passett

It’s Hump Day, y’all. I hope the week has been treating everyone well so far.

Today, let’s talk about Enfabrica.

Elevate networking for the age of GenAI.” That’s the call to action from Enfabrica, a startup that is hard-focused on high-performance networking silicon for accelerated computing and AI.

“At Enfabrica,” the company wrote, “we are collectively distinct in how we create innovative, GenAI-powered technologies and how we collaborate with our customers and partners. Our products are designed from the ground up to collectively connect and efficiently move data across all endpoints in modern AI datacenter infrastructure, whether they are GPUs, accelerators, CPUs or forms of data store like SSD, NVMe, or CXL memory. Our unique software-hardware co-design approach allows us to innovate collectively with our customers to support their unique AI workloads, enabling faster time to market while creating significant operational advantages.”

That brings us to big news — a two-parter, in fact — that dropped earlier this week:

Enfabrica has officially raised $115 million in new funding — part of an oversubscribed Series C equity financing round — spearheaded by Spark Capital (with additional support from Cisco Investments, Samsung Catalyst Fund). Notably, the likes of NVIDIA, Atreides Management, and Sutter Hill Ventures are also existing investors in the company.

Additionally, Enfabrica announced the upcoming availability (Q1 2025) of its 3.2 Terabit/sec (Tbps; one trillion bits per second, or one thousand gigabits per second) Accelerated Compute Fabric SuperNIC (ACF-S) chip and pilot systems.

Altogether, this distinct two-part announcement “solidifies Enfabrica’s position in the high-growth AI infrastructure industry and highlights its leadership role in the future of GPU compute networks.”

“This Series C fundraise fuels the next stage of growth for Enfabrica as a leading AI networking chip and software provider,” explained Rochan Sankar, Enfabrica’s CEO. “We were the first to draw up the concept of a high-bandwidth network interface controller fabric optimized for accelerated computing clusters. And we are grateful to the incredible syndicate of investors who are supporting our journey. Their participation in this round speaks to the commercial viability and value of our ACF SuperNIC silicon. We will advance the state of the art in networking for the age of GenAI.”
