Prompt Security's Copilot Protector: Securing the Future of AI in the Workplace

By Greg Tavarez

On GenAI Today, we’ve often written about how businesses across various sectors are using AI to automate tasks, generate creative content and gain valuable insights. However, this has also introduced a host of security challenges that must be addressed.

GenAI models are trained on massive datasets, often containing sensitive information. This makes them potential targets for malicious actors who seek to exploit vulnerabilities and extract valuable data. The ability of GenAI to generate highly convincing content is used to spread misinformation, launch phishing attacks and even create deepfakes. Additionally, the nature of GenAI algorithms make it difficult to detect and mitigate security threats, as traditional security measures may not be sufficient.

Prompt Security is set to address these issues.

Prompt Security delivers a complete solution for all GenAI security in the enterprise. Its platform supports millions of prompts and thousands of users every month. And now, Prompt Security offers a security and governance solution for Copilot for Microsoft 365.

Prompt Security's solution offers data protection by preventing sensitive information from being leaked inside and outside the organization. Granular department-based policies make certain that Copilot usage aligns with specific needs and access permissions.

Easy to deploy and integrate with existing security infrastructure, it provides auditing of all data interactions with Copilot. Organizations now have the ability to maintain full visibility and control over sensitive information.

“Our solution represents a new paradigm in GenAI Security, enabling enterprises to embrace the productivity gains brought about by Copilot for Microsoft 365, while maintaining full control of the organization's use of the tool, keeping the highest level of data protection and governance,” said Itamar Golan, CEO and co-founder of Prompt Security.

The solution addresses use cases such as internal and external data privacy, content moderation, observability, user activity analytics and facilitating auditing and compliance with multiple regulatory standards. It also checks Copilot responses to prevent the display of inappropriate content and maintaining an audit trail for proper IP management.

“As desktop applications with GenAI features become central to day-to-day operations, it's crucial that we deliver complete security regardless of where employees use these tools,” said Lior Drihem, CTO and co-founder of Prompt Security. “Our agent-based solution ensures that organizations can maintain visibility and control over GenAI interactions across their entire Microsoft 365 environment.”

Prompt Security's Microsoft 365 Copilot protection is available immediately.

Be part of the discussion about the latest trends and developments in the Generative AI space at Generative AI Expo, taking place February 11-13, 2025 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Generative AI Expo covers the evolution of GenAI, features conversations focused on the potential for GenAI across industries, and dives deep into how the technology is already being used to create new opportunities for businesses; to improve operations, enhance customer experiences, and create new growth opportunities.
