Customer service has changed with AI-powered chatbots. Even new frontiers have become unlocked in fields like drug discovery through accelerated molecular simulations, as well. This is what GenAI can bring to the table when its full potential is utilized.
However, many organizations haven’t found a means to take advantage of GenAI’s full potential. To do that, companies must move beyond the hype and focus on deploying proven use cases on a robust and scalable analytics and data foundation.
A survey conducted for Teradata by NewtonX, looking at the perspectives of C-suite executives and AI leaders, found a strong sense of urgency: 84% of AI executives anticipate seeing concrete results from their AI projects within the span of a single year following deployment.
Because of this expectation, there is alarm for organizations to accelerate their AI initiatives and swiftly demonstrate a return on their investments. But then there is another question that is asked: How do organizations do that?
Teradata has an answer to that by strengthening its relationship with Amazon Web Services to deliver “rapid-start” GenAI use cases when using Teradata VantageCloud on AWS, integrated with Amazon Bedrock.
Amazon Bedrock is a fully managed AWS service. It allows enterprises to quickly adopt the latest GenAI innovations with easy access to their choice of high-performing foundational models from AI companies such as AI21 Labs, Anthropic, Cohere, Meta, Mistral AI, Stability AI and Amazon.
With this integration, Teradata customers gain access to a large repository of over 60 GenAI use cases across various functions and industries to deliver exceptional customer experiences, boost employee productivity and streamline business processes.
This means customers can quickly implement these use cases with VantageCloud’s open and connected GenAI capabilities integrated with Amazon Bedrock’s foundational models by using VantageCloud’s scalable APIs to access Amazon Bedrock’s foundational models with the data in VantageCloud. These APIs, coupled with VantageCloud’s integration and operationalization capabilities, are designed to enable the implementation of GenAI use cases with high scale and low relative cost.
In addition, Teradata provides solution-specific accelerators which customers can leverage to fast-track implementation of GenAI use cases.
“Our customers seek to expedite the return on their AI investments by efficiently and cost-effectively deploying business solutions, leveraging generative AI, into production,” said Dan Spurling, Senior Vice President, Product Management at Teradata. “On the heels of our recent BYO-LLM announcement, this integration with Amazon Bedrock continues our momentum in the GenAI space and underscores Teradata’s commitment to being the most powerful, open and connected analytics and data platform for AI – giving customers the flexibility and choice they desire, to implement their generative AI strategies.”
Teradata VantageCloud’s integration with Amazon Bedrock will be available Q2 2025. Teradata’s presence in AWS Marketplace enables joint customers to draw down on AWS spending commitments with a seamless procurement experience.
